MO-OF’s exposure in the residential sector spans across geographies, typologies and scale. One of the primary concerns and conscious transformation that the practice ensures in all of its residential projects is to bring in innovation that is inspired from the existing models of programmed spaces along with its context and surroundings. Aimed towards facilitating a reimagination, this design approach also offers propagating renewed dynamics of living conditions enhancing active socio-cultural exchanges. The core objective of this is to provoke new alternatives in the way spatial configurations are experienced so that they can better respond to constantly evolving needs of both the users and the surroundings. 

 

The studio adapts a rigorous design process to ensure these visions are translated into projects. First is co-creating the design brief with active engagement with the client and stakeholders. Later the brief is reviewed through various parameters and scenario forecasting exercises. An intensive mapping of user-usage patterns, lifestyle needs is adhered to at the private scale while simultaneously addressing the site context, and collective needs; at the public scale. This is to ensure that the approach is conscious of both personal as well as the collective needs and exchanges. Lastly the human-nature integration,  being the most critical binding component, is carried across all the scales. It reflects in the choice of materials, vegetation, to design systems; ensuring an integrated and sustainable approach.
